What Do You Do With Microsoft?
This is the question I keep getting asked. Here's my honest take.
You keep asking me about Microsoft.
It’s not hard to see why.
Microsoft is the worst-performing Mag 7 stock in 2026. Down more than 26% on the year. Down 33% from its all-time high. The most beaten up name in the group that was supposed to lead everything higher.
The quarter that just closed is the worst Microsoft has had since the 2008 financial crisis.
And by historical standards, this is the worst start to a year the stock has ever seen going all the way back to 2000.
That's a lot of bad in a short period of time.
So. Is it broken? Or is it hated?
