What is a good book I should to read? What is your favorite book?
How many times have you got these questions? These are such hard questions to answer.
My library contains hundreds of books. On average, I read a book a week. What I like, someone else may hate. Everyone has different tastes in books. Some want a quick reading book. Reading a book over 300 pages may generate a response of, no that’s too long. Others prefer to read fiction over non fiction. You really need to administer an exam to know what type of book someone will even consider reading.
Instead of just rattling off good books and generating a blank stare as if I had a third eye, my response to these questions now is summed up with two answers.
The book that I have gifted the most to others is this…
The book that I have read the most times is this…
First, the book I have gifted the most to others is: Hell Yeah or No By. Derek Sivers
This book is a short and easy read. It’s a collection of Derek Sivers’s personal journal entires. As Derek puts it, “A collection of thoughts about what’s worth doing, fixing faulty thinking, and making things happen.”
His writing is to the point. The most value per page of a book I have ever read. I often find myself referring back to this book. Derek has become one of my favorite modern day thinkers and just a great person. This book is a gem.
Derek and I exchanged emails last week and he said that the book is not yet on Amazon since he self-published it. In the coming months he will add it there. In the meantime, he provided this link if you want to purchase it directly from him. If you want to see what he did with the money he made from this book, check it out here.
